Family charters and binding financial agreements

On Thursday 14th December 2017, Philip Pryor from Morpthink will be driving an interactive presentation and discussion on the challenges family businesses have in protecting their assets – especially in the case of relationship breakdown and divorce. The presentation looks at practical things that families can do to minimise their risks. Specifically we will be discussing the benefits and challenges of BFA’s (Binding Financial Agreements) and how a family working together to build a solid Family Charter can also help in this process.

Key point’s being covered in this session will be:

  • Clarity around what a BFA can and cannot do
  • How to approach this highly sensitive area
  • The potential interaction between a BFA and a Family Charter

As always, these adviser connect events prove to be a great environment to come meet other advisers in NSW or stay in touch with those in your network.

Presenter: Philip Pryor | Director, Morpthink

Philip gained his MSW from Adelphi University in New York and his Bachelor in Psychology from Otago University in New Zealand.
