March saw another busy month for FBA Vic – it seems that all months are like that now!
Our main event for March was the Family Business Directors Course – a great two days of learning, sharing and note-taking, I am sure that each delegate took at least one thing that they are able to put into practice back in their businesses.
We have many events coming up over the next few months. A summary of the year to date can be seen here, I urge you to mark your calendars so you do not miss out.
- The event coming up that I will bring your attention to is the Victorian State Conference, May 18, 2017.
This year the focus is on growth, and the three pillars of growth being:
Customers – a market leading customer focus
- Transactions – growth through acquisitions, partnerships and alliances
- People – creative talent development, culture and acquisition
Wherever you are in your business life cycle, every business aims to be a success, this conference is a mixture of case studies and practical sessions, a chance to get involved and work out your success strategy for your business.
April sees the second of our Insider events, a look into Sutton Tools. Riding on the success of our first Insider event at Scalzo Food Industries, this event is already full!
But, don’t be too dismayed, we are currently organising another Insider event for June – once you see the registrations open, book, make sure that you don’t miss out!
It is a great privilege to meet our different members, both over the phone and in person and to hear their stories. I am constantly amazed by the histories and different structures of your businesses. Help me get to know you and your business, if you have had any exciting news or received awards or good publicity share the love by sending it through, email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you know of any family’s in business don’t forget to tell them about FBA, or better yet bring them along to the next event.
I hope to see you at an event in the future, maybe the state conference!
